The Patriot Resilient Leader Institute

In collaboration with Swim With A Mission, the Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Campus will offer best-in-class programs and services to NH’s military community through partnerships with veteran service providers. Our partner organizations are committed to meeting the needs of service members, Veterans, and their families seeking assistance at the Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Campus.

We are proud to partner with Camp Resilience, an organization dedicated to helping Veterans rediscover their resilience through outdoor sports, recreational activities, life skills classes, and facilitated peer-to-peer counseling. Since 2014, Camp Resilience has hosted adventure-based retreats in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region to improve participants’ physical, social, mental, and emotional well-being.

Fostering Wellness Through Shared Experiences

Camp Resilience helps Veterans improve their mental health and wellness, forge connections, and bolster emotional awareness by harnessing the constructive power of outdoor group activities. Outdoor experiential learning activities like hiking, kayaking, and skiing help promote resiliency and physical fitness. Life skill education workshops on financial literacy, cooking, and yoga empower Veterans through stimulating learning experiences. Facilitated peer support provides group therapy settings, so no one stands alone when addressing their trauma.

Camp Resilience recognizes the need for the Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Campus to help service members, Veterans, and their families overcome the unique challenges the military community faces when navigating civilian life.

“The Military & Veterans Campus will offer a unique, safe space for Veterans to self-nurture, establish beneficial habits, and foster healthy relationships,” noted Camp Resilience founder Kurt Webber. “The new Military & Veterans Campus will provide a dedicated support system and space to support Camp Resilience in assisting service members and Veterans in successfully transitioning to civilian life.”

A Home for New Hampshire’s Military Community

Service members, Veterans, and their families require the understanding and support of others who have shared their experiences. Our campaign, Mission Fortify, aims to make programs and services tailored to the military experience available, including financial assistance, mental health support, therapeutic services, outpatient substance use disorder treatment, and recreation— essential for helping Granite Staters who served live their best lives.
